I am SO excited to share these eye masks with you! I have to admit I have never used any sort of eye mask prior to these, so I was pretty skeptical about them, but they definitely have made me realize how great they can be.
These oxygen eye masks by VIIcode beauty consist of a gel-like material and can be used to minimize signs of aging, reduce fine lines and wrinkles, and instantly moisturize and soothe the area under your eyes. Each box is $55 and contains 12 masks, giving you 6 total treatments. It is recommended that you use them 2-3 times a week, so one box could last you about 3 weeks if you use them that frequently, but personally, I think I would be more likely to use them maybe once a week.
You can choose to either wear them overnight for 8 hours or you can wear them for 2-4 hours during the day if you would prefer. I wore them for about 2 hours at a time during the day, but it is recommended to wear them overnight for the best results and it is also suggested that you keep your eye masks in the fridge prior to using them. The first time I used them, they hadn’t been in the fridge, but I did put them in before using them a second time. I didn’t notice a huge difference other than the temperature, of course! I tend to get headaches somewhat frequently and I actually think that these masks would be pretty relieving if you put them on straight from the fridge.
These are masks are SO simple to use! You have to start out by washing your face, but that is pretty much all of the prep that is required.
When you open the pouch, you’ll have two masks in there. One of mine had fallen out of this little container and was still sitting in the pouch, which is why only one is pictured ha!
All you have to do is peel off the sticky part, place them under your eyes, push gently so they will stick and you’re good to go! The first time I put them on, I think they were a little too high up, but you can easily peel them off and stick them back on to be more comfortable.
The second they touched my face, I could not get over how moisturizing they felt. My eyes actually immediately started to tear because it was like putting cool water right under them and you can definitely tell that they are working!
Overall, I really liked these eye masks. Thankfully, I don’t really have many fine lines or wrinkles, so I can’t speak to how they would be affected by the masks. I did really like how the felt when they were on, though, and your eyes definitely feel refreshed when you take them off. If you tend to move around in your sleep, I would recommend wearing them during the day, but if not, definitely try them overnight! I think these masks would be great for those mornings when you just didn’t get enough sleep or you just feel like your skin could use a little something extra.
