Valentine’s Day Gift Guide

It’s hard to believe Valentine’s Day is right around the corner! I love what a fun holiday it is for everyone to celebrate. It also became a very special day to me 3 years ago because my husband proposed on Valentine’s Day!

Before we got engaged, I laughed and said not to propose on Valentine’s Day because it was too cheesy! A few months later, he proposed..on Valentine’s Day ha! He said he did it because he knew I wouldn’t be expecting it. And of course I wasn’t mad. 😉 So now I love it even more!

Anyway..on to the gift guides! There is one for her and one for him! I hope you find something you love. ❤

Pink Blush Floral Top

Hi! Hope you’re having a great week so far! It’s always hard to head back to work after a 3-day weekend, but I hope you enjoyed it. 🙂

I’m excited to share this floral top with you from Pink Blush. I have shared a few of their items before and I will definitely keep ordering from them. Everything I have received is great quality and true to size.

I love that it’s floral, but the darker colors don’t make it too spring-y. It also comes in a really pretty burgundy.

The back is hard to resist! Isn’t it so pretty? I’ve worn this a few times already and have gotten so many compliments on it! It’s so easy to throw on with any color jeans (I’ll definitely wear it in the spring with white jeans too) and any booties or even flats.

I went with these flat booties because we were headed to pick up our dog from his stay at “camp” 😉 and he is a little on the energetic put it lightly ha! So heels are never a good idea when walking him!

Hope you love this top too! It’s $37 and is currently stocked in all sizes!

Thank you to Pink Blush for gifting me this top!

Thanks so much for reading!

When we started planning our honeymoon, we both knew we wanted to go to Hawaii and we quickly decided on Maui. I know many people choose to visit a few islands while they’re there, but we decided to stay on Maui during our entire trip and I am so happy we did! There are so many things to do on Maui that we never got bored or wished we were headed anywhere else.

We stayed at the Grand Wailea. My goodness, this place is beautiful and I would 100% recommend staying there! We loved our excursions, but sometimes I was dying to get back to our hotel for the beach and pool!

I saw a few people with this pineapple float when we got there and it was a must have! I think I spent most of our trip floating in this pineapple and loved every second of it. 🙂

We had a few excursions planned (all are linked at the end of this post) and we were so happy with all of them. I heard conflicting opinions on whether or not we should schedule excursions prior to getting there. I’m a planner, so I had all of our excursions and a few dinner reservations planned well in advance and I’m glad I did. Things really seemed to fill up quickly!

My favorite excursion was the Old Lahaina Luau. The food was amazing and they had a really great show! I wasn’t a huge fan of the pig roast, but I guess it’s all part of the experience ha!

My husband’s favorite thing was the snorkel cruise to Molokini Crater! They took us to two snorkeling spots and both were great! They also give you a ton of great food and were so nice and helpful throughout the day.

Another thing we liked was Clear Kayaks. The bottom of your kayak is clear and they send you into “turtle town,” where you can see a ton of them! We booked the 2 hour time slot, but ended up stopping way earlier. I started to feel a little sick, since I was looking down so much while on the water, but I would definitely recommend doing it, just for less time. Just a little side note- there is no actual location for this. They give you an address, but it’s actually just a truck on the side of the road with a ton of kayaks. Just sharing that because it took us a few minutes to find!

One of my favorite things we did was our Flytographer shoot. I had entered a contest to win a free photo shoot at any of their destinations and I won! (Thank you Flytographer!) I would absolutely recommend doing it because the pictures are beautiful and are such a wonderful memory for us. 🙂

We heard so much about the Road to Hana that we figured we had to do it! While researching it, I came across a bamboo forest that is a bit beyond the Road to Hana, but we really wanted to see it, so we drove farther to get there.

We did make a few stops on the Road to Hana, but there are so many that you can’t do them all in one day. I’m sure there are a ton of great ones that we missed. I’ll take it as a reason to go back. 🙂

I also had heard so much about mount Haleakala that I really wanted to go! We chose to go for sunset rather than sunrise. I’m sure that sunrise is amazing, but being from PA, we were already way off our time zone and couldn’t imagine getting up at 2am to get there in time haha! It’s a long and windy drive, but definitely worth it.

The sunset was incredible and I would say this is a must do, whether you go for sunrise or sunset. They now require reservations for sunrise, so make sure you check that out before going! It’s really an incredible experience. It’s very cold up there, though, so definitely bring something warm!

You have to pay to get into both the bamboo forest and Haleakala, but the pass is valid for 7 days. So if you decide to do both, make sure you save the ticket you get (whether it’s for the forest or for sunrise/sunset) and you’ll be able to use it for when you do the other. 🙂

Here are some things I would definitely recommend on Maui:

Monkeypod Kitchen

Mama’s Fish House

Bistro Molokini

Flatbread Pizza Co

Trilogy Snorkel Cruise

Clear Kayaks

Road to Hana

Old Lahaina Luau (my favorite!)

We loved everything about Maui and are always wishing we could go back! If you are planning a trip there, I hope you love it as much as we did!

Happy New Year! I hope that 2018 has been good to you so far. It’s been on the cold (freezing) side lately, so I put together some of my favorite warm and cozy lounge items that will get you through the rest of the winter. Some will also be great layering pieces year-round!

These leggings are the best I have ever had. My husband got me the navy pair for Christmas and I loved them so much that I got them in black too. They have pockets on the side of the leg that are perfect for holding your phone and would be great for holding keys if you’re a runner. They come in 5 colors and are currently on sale for under $25!

This hoodie is perfect to go over leggings because it’s on the longer side. It’s so soft and I love that it has zippers on each side so you can fit it to however you prefer. This is also currently on sale (for $35) and it comes in 6 colors to match all of your leggings. 🙂

While I love the look of these leggings, I have to admit they aren’t quite as soft as the ones I mentioned earlier. They are pretty thick, though, so they’re great for cold weather and some of you may like them better, so I wanted to include them here. In my opinion, they run kind of small, so I would suggest going up a size.

Have fun browsing! Most of these items are on sale right now! Hope you find something you love!

Favorite Fall Dress

Happy Friday!

I’m so excited to share this Pink Blush dress that is so perfect for Fall! The color is so pretty and I’m in love with these sleeves! I don’t love huge bell sleeves, but these still give you that look without being overwhelming.FullSizeRender-3FullSizeRender-4

This clutch has been my go to ever since I got it. It’s the perfect size, the color goes with almost everything. & it’s currently on sale! It’s less than $13 and totally worth it!

The details on this dress are so pretty. It looks even better in person if you can believe it! I’m sure I’ll be wearing this as long as I can before it gets too cold. 🙂

You can find this exact dress here. 🙂 It also comes in 2 other colors and you really can’t go wrong with any of them!

My “L” necklace is from Julia Marie and I wear it ALL the time!

I, of course, had to pair this dress with my favorite ankle boots from Old Navy. They’re currently available in 3 colors and I’m seriously contemplating grabbing them in another color!

Thanks so much for reading! Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Thank you to Pink Blush for this beautiful dress!

San Diego Travel Guide

San Diego is an amazing place. We spent so much time researching things to do and trying to narrow it down because the options are overwhelming! On our first day, we decided to go to Balboa Park. It is incredibly big, but is pretty easy to navigate. We went to the Spanish Art Village, which has this fun rainbow path through the whole thing.

We also went to the Rose Garden and the Desert Garden. They were both incredibly beautiful and I’d highly recommend going. The park is separated into a lot of different gardens. You would need at least a day to go through all of them, so we chose three and I’m so happy we did. We loved them all and got to walk by some of the other gardens on the way. The three that we went to are free, but you do have to pay for some of them, like the Japanese Garden.

We decided to spend a day in La Jolla and I’m so happy we did because there is so much to do there. We started out by doing the Ho Chi Minh trail. It’s beautiful, but it’s definitely not easy. I had seen it labeled as “moderate” on a hiking website, but I would definitely say it’s hard. Of course, there were surfers walking by with their surfboards. But, walking on a steep sand path in sneakers is no easy task! You definitely get some awesome views though. 🙂

After the trail, we headed to the beach. There are so many to choose from in La Jolla and there are seals and sea lions everywhere! You can get really close to them, although you don’t want to get too close, of course. It was crowded, but really beautiful. There are also a ton of shops and restaurants in La Jolla, so it’s easy to spend a whole day there.

We went to Sunset Cliffs one night and, if you’re ever in San Diego, you have to do this! It’s kind of out of the way, but it’s absolutely beautiful and you get amazing views of the beach & sunset, of course. 🙂

We also spent a day in Coronado, which was beautiful! We took the ferry there and spent the day walking through shops and visiting Hotel del Coronado. The beach is beautiful and there are some cute restaurants there too.

On our last morning, we went to Communal Coffee. It was a must while we were there! I couldn’t leave without seeing the “coffee & flowers” wall that I’m always eyeing on Instagram. This place is amazing. It’s beautiful inside, they have great coffee & food and that pretty wall definitely lives up to the pictures. 🙂

Here are some of the restaurants and things to do that I’d recommend:

  • Duke’s La Jolla
  • Stone Brewing Co.
  • Draft
  • Rustic Root
  • Coronado Brewing Co.
  • Donut Bar (a must-it’s amazing!)

(Duke’s and Stone are my two favorites!)

Things to Do:

  • U.S.S. Midway
  • Hotel del Coronado
  • Padres game
  • Seaport Village
  • The Cave Store
  • Sunset Cliffs

Pink Blush Floral Dress

I was so excited to get this dress just in time for our trip to San Diego! I have been loving shift dresses lately because they are just so easy to throw on and go. The print on this dress is so pretty, I knew I had to have it as soon as I saw it. The neckline makes it different from all of the others I have and it’s so easy to dress up or down.

FullSizeRender.jpgFullSizeRender.jpg-4FullSizeRender.jpg 2

I love it so much that I actually ended up wearing it twice in the few days we were there. It was perfect on its’s own during the day for our trip to Communal Coffee (that place is amazing!) and it was so easy to throw a denim jacket over when it got cooler at dinner.

You can find this exact Pink Blush dress here. Hope you love it as much as I do! Pink Blush has so many cute dresses, but they also have a ton of other items, as well.  Plus, you can get 10% off your first order. I can’t recommend it enough! I can’t wait to share more of our San Diego trip with you later this week!

Thanks so much for reading! And thank you to Pink Blush for this beautiful dress!

San Diego: What I’m Packing

I am so excited to visit San Diego! It’s a place I’ve always wanted to visit, but, being in PA, it’s not a quick trip. But, it’s finally happening and I can’t wait! I always have a hard time narrowing down my favorites for a trip, but, after a good amount of time staring in my closet, I’ve finally decided and am sharing what I’ll be taking with me on the trip. 🙂

I got this hanging travel organizer as a gift and it has been a lifesaver. You can fit so much in it and it’s so convenient to just hang up in the bathroom or closet at your hotel. And it comes in a ton of pretty colors & prints.

Bow Dress & Initial Necklace

Happy June! I can’t believe how quickly this year is flying by! My husband and I are going on a few trips this summer, so I was looking for an easy and comfortable look for traveling. I have definitely found it with this dress! It’s my new favorite casual look and I’m sure I’ll be wearing it far more than I’d like to admit!

How cute is this bow?! It’s one of the reasons I just couldn’t pass this up! Like the dress, I also found this jacket at Loft. I had been looking for a denim jacket and, as soon as I saw this one, I knew it was perfect! It’s still available in a few sizes and you can shop a very similar one here that has some more size options.  If you’d like a different color, you can shop the darker version of my jacket here. : )

I’m so excited about this adorable initial necklace! It’s from Shop Julia Marie, where you can also find the monogram necklaces that we all love! I went with the initial necklace because I think it’s so dainty and will be perfect for summer. But I’m thinking of also getting a monogram necklace with my new initials . If you find anything you love on the site, which I’m sure you will, you can use code LARA to save 20%. : )

Hope you all love this look as much as I do! Don’t forget to use code LARA when checking out at Shop Julia Marie for your discount! Hope you all enjoy the rest of your weekend!
